The Way is a service of recovery and ministry of the Church Health Center. This inspiring service focuses on the beatitudes and the 12 Steps, and fully embraces recovery in every sense of the word. Their purpose is to enhance the spiritual component of recovery, through music, fellowship, discussing the 12 steps, and intentionally embracing the Gospel as the good news that it is. The Way offers hope and spiritual discipline to everyone as they faithfully respond to God’s ineluctable grace.
About the Race
The Memphis Heroes race is a unique 6K run/walk presented by La Paloma Treatment Center of Foundations Recovery Network. La Paloma offers an integrated treatment plan for persons with substance abuse and/or co-occurring mental health disorders. Research shows that many people dealing with drug addiction and alcohol addiction are also afflicted with mental health disorders. Foundations Recovery Network and its treatment facilities like La Paloma look at both simultaneously in order to treat the whole person.The caring and compassionate staff members at La Paloma are specially trained to address the complex needs of those with co-occurring disorders and are committed to seeing you or your loved one through this storm and into a renewed life.
The 6K course takes you through the downtown area of Memphis, TN and along it’s river front to end at Court Square Park. There will be awards presented to top three male and female participants, with both overall and age group winners. The award ceremony will be followed by a free raffle with great prizes, activities and food for the whole family.
Be mindful of the weather – start hydrating a minimum of two weeks prior to the event and consider carrying a personal hydration device. There will also be water stations on the course. Must be present to receive award.

– A finisher’s medal upon crossing the finish line!
