Heroes in Recovery is helping sponsor the 2nd Annual Golf Scramble benefiting CenterPoint Recovery for Men on May 13, 2013.
Heroes in Recovery is reaching out to the Marietta, Georgia community! Volunteers are going to be at Must Ministries on August 3rd to put on a dinner for homeless shelter individuals and families and the shelter staff. Heroes in Recovery volunteers will be there to serve dinner, talk about Heroes in Recovery and participate in an AA meeting that will be held on site.
MUST Ministries (Ministries United in Service Training) provides services to individuals and families that are homeless. Homeless individuals are welcome to stay for 6 weeks provided they are drug and alcohol-free, and they are encouraged to attend AA and other recovery meetings. They are also provided life education classes, health care, clothing, computer access for job searches and laundry services. Many of these resources are provided by volunteers, and these volunteers are often in recovery themselves.
